The successful candidate will have a good academic background in software / computer science or a physical science with a particular interest in or experience in software, financial technologies and/or telecommunications; they will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of how technology works in their fields of interest. Nonetheless, a natural aptitude of basic engineering principles from other technical fields is also important for this position. An advanced degree, such as a PhD in a relevant technology would be an advantage but is not essential.
Other key qualities include excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, an entrepreneurial drive and a personable attitude. Candidates should be comfortable with the responsibility of interacting with clients directly as well as being confident enough to foster new business relationships.
