We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Senior Trade Mark Administrator to join our dynamic Trade Mark Support team. The role is varied and includes all aspects of Trade Mark prosecution, from filing through to registration.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Filing new Trade Mark applications directly at the UKIPO, EUIPO, WIPO and Irish IPO, as well as sending instructions to foreign associates worldwide
  • Creating of cases onto the IPMS, from new trade mark cases, contentious matters and takeovers
  • Due diligence for takeover projects and involvement in large filing projects
  • Processing incoming communications, both official and from foreign Monitoring all incoming email traffic received by the Trade Mark department, saving and sending where appropriate
  • Drafting and sending reports to clients and associates covering all aspects of the Trade Mark life cycle
  • Checking processed communications and correspondence data to ensure successful docketing on the IPMS
  • Management of fee earner diaries to ensure each diary is updated ahead of the following week
  • Management of the critical list to ensure reminders are actioned daily and to ensure deadlines are met
  • Providing on hand support to the Paralegals within the team with recordals, estimates and client onboarding; not limited to additional elements of paralegal work

Candidate experience and knowledge:

  • Candidates should have 3 – 4 years’ experience working within the industry and demonstrate a basic level of understanding of the life cycle of Trade Mark
  • Candidates must hold a CITMA Paralegal qualification
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills are required, together with the ability to work accurately and at pace under pressure
  • Exercise a good level of attention to detail while inputting data to an IP system
  • The role requires the ability to work both autonomously and proactively in a team
  • Candidates must be able to communicate (written and oral) effectively, feeling comfortable in client- facing communications and in working with fee earners to ensure that work is carried out in a timely and effective way to meet client requirements
  • Candidates demonstrates preparedness to work additional hours from time to time to ensure that deadlines are met.
