We have an opportunity in our sector-leading chemistry group for a trainee patent attorney, starting around September 2015. The successful candidate will receive the training, support and guidance necessary to qualify as both a UK and European patent attorney.
Applicants should possess or expect to obtain a good degree in chemistry.
Although not essential, some proficiency in French, German, Chinese or Japanese is desirable.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant team, working with and learning from leading individuals in the field, and having contact with a full range of clients from start-ups and spin-outs to large multinational corporations. The work will be varied and will include drafting and prosecution before the EPO, UK IPO and internationally, as well as freedom-to-operate work, oppositions, appeals and opinion work.
