We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Patent Formalities Administrator to join our dynamic Patent Services team. This role is not sponsored and proof of right to work on-gong in the UK is required.

The role is varied and includes all aspects of patent administration and formalities, from filing through to grant; primarily involving GB, EP, PCT and design cases. Duties will include: recording new and takeover cases electronically; creating forms in the eolf – EPOLine classic and 2.0 software, uploading documents for filing at the various patent offices; working with the EPO’s electronic mailbox; monitoring and updating daily critical reminders; docketing incoming post; handling the grant and validation procedures and various other tasks on an ad hoc or regular basis.

Candidates should have at least 2 years experience of working in a busy patent formalities/records department and will have passed the CIPA course. Knowledge of working with Inprotech would be an advantage as would experience of checking case creations and/or forms prepared by other team members. This role is ideal for someone who loves working in a varied role with an energetic and friendly team, as well as being competent at working autonomously.
