Fully Remote Pharma Patent Attorney- UK

Responsibilities:

  • Patent Drafting and Prosecution: skilfully draft and meticulously prepare patent applications for chemical and pharmaceutical innovations, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client objectives.
  • Expertly navigate the patent prosecution process, responding to office actions, and advocating for patent grant.
  • Innovative Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of chemical and pharmaceutical innovations to identify patentable aspects, ensuring a strong foundation for patent applications and potential commercialisation.
  • IP Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage patent portfolios for clients, ensuring timely filing of applications, maintenance of granted patents, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Legal Research: Stay up to date with evolving patent laws, regulations, and industry trends, conducting legal research to provide informed counsel and advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • 2 years or more of post qualification experience.
  • Hold a degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, or a related field from a reputable university. A postgraduate degree (master’s or PhD) in pharmaceutical sciences is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of drafting high-quality patent applications for pharmaceutical innovations and successfully navigating patent prosecution processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, conveying complex scientific and legal matters in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
