Kilburn & Strode is a leading firm of European patent and trade mark attorneys helping the most creative companies, protect the most innovative ideas and designs, in the most competitive markets. We have a culture built on diversity and are looking for people who share and demonstrate our values: think creatively, build relationships, take responsibility, respect others, and excel.

Do you want to become a qualified Trade Mark Attorney? This is a unique career path that will allow you to become an expert in advising clients on the best way to protect and enforce their trade mark rights. To our clients their trade mark is a carefully crafted distinguishing factor of their business. It is much more than just a design or a slogan. It may well be their most valuable asset – and it is our mandate to protect it.

The role of a Trade Mark Attorney is incredibly varied and can include registering trade marks, leading on oppositions to trade mark registrations, advising on aspects of copyright, anti-counter fitting, design queries or licencing.

Our Trade Mark team has over 40 Partners, qualified attorneys and support staff spread across our London and Netherlands offices. We are recruiting for a place on our training programme – where we will support, mentor and develop you into a world class trade mark attorney working on some of the most exciting new products and ideas from across the globe. We will also support you through the formal Trade Mark qualifications which you will complete with accredited providers alongside your Trainee role.

We are looking to recruit graduates or postgraduates with a strong academic record to join our Trainee Trade Mark Attorney Programme. Whilst there is a legal aspect to this role, candidates with any degree background are able to apply. Those with law, STEM or humanities qualifications have found this career to be an area in which they may have particular strengths.

Applicants must have a minimum 2:1 in their degree discipline. New graduates or those looking for an exciting career change are welcome to apply.

Online interview will be held at the end of November and in-person interviews will be held in December 2023.
