Our Patent Career Programme offers you the chance to be involved in innovative, exciting inventions outside of the lab, whilst studying towards your exams to become a qualified UK and European patent attorney. We are recruiting for a place on our Life Sciences training programme to start in October 2024 – where we will support, mentor and develop you into aworld classpatent attorney working on some of the most exciting new products and ideas from across the globe. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to start your career within our Life Sciences team which is comprised of 25 trainees and qualified attorneys. Our team is led by dedicated, market-leading experts who can offer you unparalleled training, quality of work, exposure to business development and client matters and the support to ensure you are developing in your career.

We are looking for candidates with a strong academic record and a graduate or postgraduate degree in a biological sciences related subject, for example, biological sciences, molecular biology, biotechnology, microbiology, or immunology.

Applicants should ideally have at least biology and chemistry A-levels and preferably a third science subject, such as physics or mathematics. Ideally, candidates will also hold a minimum 2:1 in their biology-focused degree discipline and may have also achieved a biology-related Masters or PhD qualification.

New graduates or those looking for an exciting career change are welcome to apply.

The deadline for receiving applications will be 5pm on Monday 6th November. The application process will include a Zoom interview and attendance at an assessment centre. Those that are successful will commence their trainee positions in October 2024.
