A leading Intellectual Property (IP) firm, acclaimed for its trailblazing work and dedication to innovation in the realm of biotechnology, is now looking for a Finals Standard or Newly Qualified Patent Attorney to strengthen its esteemed team. This distinguished firm, celebrated for setting benchmarks in IP law, provides a unique platform for a dynamic and skilled individual ready to make a significant impact in the biotechnology patent landscape.

The successful candidate will be immersed in a diverse range of activities, from drafting and prosecuting cutting-edge biotechnology patents to strategic IP consulting, offering a holistic view of the biotech IP field.

You will be:

Directly involved in the drafting, filing, and prosecution of patent applications in the biotechnology sector, working with innovations at the leading edge of science.

Providing strategic advice to clients on patent portfolio management, IP strategy, and protection in both domestic and international jurisdictions.

Conducting freedom-to-operate analyses, patentability assessments, and due diligence investigations.

Representing clients in opposition and appeal proceedings before patent offices, leveraging your expertise to protect and defend their innovations.

Candidate Profile:

Attained or nearing completion of qualification as a European Patent Attorney or equivalent, demonstrating a deep understanding of patent law as it applies to biotechnology (Finals standard to NQ)

Holds an advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a closely related field, providing a solid foundation for understanding the complex science behind client innovations.

Exhibits strong analytical skills, capable of tackling intricate legal and technical challenges.

Outstanding communication abilities, with proficiency in drafting clear, persuasive documents and the confidence to advise and negotiate on behalf of clients.

Demonstrates initiative, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of client service.
