Following the appointment of Gareth Probert in 2020, we are looking for a trainee patent attorney for our new and growing division focused on the medical device and healthcare sectors.
Leveraging existing direct client experience and significant client care skills, we are breaking into new markets with new clients. Typically, these clients are innovation-rich, medical device and healthcare manufacturers. We are well placed to take advantage of this push for progress with our combined expertise in engineering, chemistry and biotechnology allowing us to deliver flexible and class-leading IP solutions to clients in this area.
Full training to become a qualified patent attorney will be given, supported by formal and unstructured learning. Additionally, this role will allow the trainee attorney exposure to a broader range of work than might be typical within a training position. Here is a great opportunity for a trainee attorney to cut their teeth in the IP profession whilst being guided and mentored by a leading partner in this area of work.
We now seek to appoint a trainee patent attorney with academic experience in chemistry, materials, biomaterials or a related field. You will have an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field. Effective communication skills, an aptitude for problem-solving and the ability to think on your feet are essential skills.
