About EIP Dynamics

EIP Dynamics is our mechanical and electrical engineering practice, which advises start-ups, SMEs and multinationals in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, marine, transport & logistics, household appliances, computer hardware, consumer goods, packaging, and 2D and 3D printing.

The team, located in the UK and the US, work closely with companies to get a deep understanding of their businesses and markets and help them achieve their commercial objectives by obtaining tailored patent protection, defending patent rights when their validity is attacked, and managing risks posed by third-party patent rights.

About the vacancy

We are looking for trainee patent attorneys who are capable of handling work in the fields of mechanical engineering including fluid mechanics, electromechanical systems, robotics, control systems, materials engineering and manufacturing.

Although a PhD qualification is preferred, we would also consider candidates with a strong first or further degree who are able to demonstrate the required skill and knowledge to handle these matters.

Experience, skills and qualifications

You will be comfortable working in a modern, fast-paced environment where you are given a level of autonomy to do your work.

  • Ability to work under pressure, which may be the result of competing and inflexible deadlines when working for more than one client at the same time
  • Excellent research and presentation skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, and an analytical mind
  • Initiative and the ability to act independently
