Boult Wade Tennant, an award winning IP firm, is seeking a part-qualified patent attorney to join the Biotechnology and Life Sciences group based in Cambridge.

The Biotechnology and Life Sciences group has a first class reputation engaging in the full spectrum of patent work. The group handles patent matters covering a wide range of life science technologies including those relating to biological assays and biologics. Applications are welcomed from all part-qualified patent attorneys with an excellent life science background. However, knowledge and experience of immunology (especially antibodies and vaccines), neuroscience and bioinformatics would be particularly advantageous.

The successful candidate will have an impressive academic background in the life sciences and the ability to apply this knowledge to patent work under appropriate guidance from our experienced attorneys.

Full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate as they work towards the qualifications of Chartered Patent Attorney and European Attorney. Training comprises practical experience gained working alongside partners and senior attorneys on client matters and internal and external seminars, tutorials and courses.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 340 UCAS points (AAB) at A Level.
  • A minimum of a 2.1 degree in a life sciences subject area.
