The role would suit a professional who has recently passed the Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice, with a total of around 3 years’ experience. The opportunity is based at the firm’s headquarters in London. We are looking for a bright self-starter, someone who enjoys autonomy, is enthusiastic and wants to contribute to a highly respected and well-known trade mark team.
The firm
Boult Wade Tennant is a leading European IP firm with offices in the UK, Germany and Spain. Established in 1894, the firm has a long track record of helping to protect and commercialise innovations and brands, and is dedicated to providing excellent client service.

The group
The Trade Mark and Domain Names group are one of the largest in Europe with teams in the UK, Germany and Spain. This rapidly growing team support some of the world’s largest brands. Despite their enviable reputation the group members remain incredibly supportive. We would like our new hire to match our current team in terms of enthusiasm and a collaborative approach. In recent months, the team has adapted to home working, and a hybrid office/home working arrangement may be offered.
Who we are looking for
We are keen to hear from talented individuals who are legally and commercially aware, and who would relish the challenge of a fast-paced working environment. The ability to prioritise and multitask is critical, as is the resourcefulness to offer creative solutions to our clients.
The successful candidate will be able to develop and maintain excellent client relationships as well as internal working relationships. We are looking for someone who is at ease with handling national and cross-border matters and someone who wants to develop their legal, business and interpersonal skills. As well as the mandatory attention to detail, we communicate with a range of clients from multinationals, down to one-person start-ups, as well as with overseas firms. Hence, we need you to be able to pitch your content and tone correctly for the message you’re conveying – not only legal skills, but communication skills are key for us.
