The Role

As a Trainee Trade Mark Attorney at Adamson Jones, you will play a pivotal role in protecting and enhancing the intellectual property assets of our clients. This position involves working across a broad range of commercial sectors, assisting in the preparation and filing of trade mark applications and oppositions, and contributing to the development of IP strategies. You will be working alongside highly qualified legal professionals both within Adamson Jones and throughout Gateley, and will be involved in direct client interactions, providing clear and concise advice on complex trade mark matters. This role is a gateway to becoming a fully qualified trade mark attorney, offering a challenging yet rewarding career path.

The Person

We are looking for a graduate with a strong academic record, with top grades at A-level and a minimum 2.1 degree, preferably in law or business. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a genuine interest in brands and commerce. You should be able to communicate complex ideas effectively in writing and when speaking to others. Being proactive, adaptable, and able to view situations from our clients’ perspective are key qualities we seek. A commitment to professional growth and a desire to excel in the field of intellectual property law are essential.
