Our client, a long established manufacturing business, are well known around the globe for their trailblazing product innovation and their IP team are recruiting for a Patent Searcher to join their legal function.

Based in their North West HQ, if you’re a Patent Searcher who is looking for an immersive in-house move to propel your career, then this integral role ticks all of the boxes!

Welcomed by a collegiate, sizeable and expert IP team, you’ll fully utilise your excellent experience gained to date. This role requires candidates with relevant and demonstrable Patent Searcher or Analyst experience.

With broad key areas of responsibility, it’s preferable but not essential that you have freedom to operate, opposition and validity experience. You’ll also be adept in prior art, novelty searches, general and landscape searches, all of which contribute to preserving and reducing the risks for the group, R & D and in assisting senior stakeholders in making investment decisions.

Another important duty which will require a high level of attention to detail is updating and maintaining the business’ internal database. You will have excellent communication skills as you liaise with colleagues across the business and external stakeholders, you will be comfortable getting involved in projects working effectively as part of a team as well as being comfortable working autonomously.
