Our client is a long established and globally recognised brand at the forefront of invention and innovation. With expansion plans in motion and opportunities within both their central London and South Coast offices, they require an Electronics and/or Engineering Attorney from Finalist up to 5 years PQE. This opportunity is rare from both an In-house perspective and because of the scope and variety of work on offer and really should not be overlooked!

Welcomed into the sizeable and collaborative Patent Counsel team, you will be immersed in the strategic and commercial aspects of business as well as honing your technical skills. Although the bulk of the drafting work is outsourced, there is scope to be involved in the full patent life cycle from invention harvesting to litigation and you will enjoy direct contact with both stakeholders and external counsel from day one. Identifying, communicating and managing potential risks and effectively filing and prosecuting in a way that ensures a competitive advantage will ensure you have all the variety of work you need.

Advantageously but not essentially, you’ll have in-house experience and thrive on collaborating with colleagues across all key functions of the business including marketing and R&D, providing focused advice that drives the best commercial outcomes. It’s imperative that your interpersonal skills are excellent, and your ability to engage and communicate what may often be complex matters in a clear and coherent manner is paramount.

Offering the flexibility of a blended working approach, this forward-thinking organisation will provide the support and resources you require to progress your career in the direction that engages and fulfills you the most.
