Our experienced team of over fifty IP professionals based in London and Cambridge includes specialists in a wide range of technical disciplines. Our trade mark team provides specialist advice on branding and trade mark work; we also have a specialist team handling plant variety protection.

We handle the full range of IP rights for a global client base ranging from SMEs starting to consider IP through to large corporations with rights in over 100 countries. Our services range from investigating competing rights, handling oppositions, drafting and filing applications, and maintaining portfolios.

The Role

Our Electronics, Electrical & Software team are looking for a Newly qualified or nearly qualified EPA/CPA with experience in handling electronics, telecoms and/or software related inventions. This is a new role that is being introduced to meet the needs of our existing and growing client base.  We are recommended as a Top Tier firm in Chambers and have a reputation for high quality, commercial and pragmatic advice. The team has grown significantly over recent years and we have been able to develop some exciting new client relationships.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio encompassing telecommunications, software and electrical subject matter. They will be responsible for the full range of IP activities both nationally and internationally and will be able to develop their career within a friendly and collegiate atmosphere.  This is a high profile position within a team undergoing strong growth. Ideally you will have drafting and prosecution experience as well as some experience in contentious matters including oppositions. An exposure to business development would be helpful and we are looking for a candidate who can show a commercial and proactive approach to developing a practice as well as looking after an existing client base.

Ideally, the candidate will be an electronics engineer but we can accommodate physicists and others.
