Description

We are looking to recruit a Part Qualified Trade Mark Attorney to join our award winning Trade Mark Team. The successful candidate will be based in our central London office where they will work alongside our growing team, also supported by teams of attorneys, IP solicitors and support staff based in the Nottingham, Copenhagen and Stockholm offices.

Potter Clarkson is a full-service, European IP firm. Award winning, the firm is consistently ranked in the top tier of major legal guides, such as Legal 500 and MIP. We have also recently won Managing Intellectual Property UK Trade Mark Prosecution Firm of the Year. Unlike most UK patent and trade mark firms, we also hold three, independent ISO accreditations which evidence the high level of service provision, information security and environmental awareness that we have. We therefore deliver proven expertise with a top tier service too, enabling clients to benefit commercially from the IP investment. Potter Clarkson acts for many leading household names including Odeon Cinemas, Hilton Hotels, McLaren, The Economist, Belstaff, Reckitt Benckiser, Experian, Goodyear and Vision Express.

The formula for our success is simple. We recruit the very best people and invest heavily in their training and personal development to produce outstanding patent and trade mark professionals. The organisation and infrastructure of the firm and its dedicated support staff equip our experts with all they need to apply their skills efficiently and deliver exceptional service to clients.

Requirements

Successful candidates must be highly accurate and literate, be able to work within a team, and wish to continuously learn and develop professionally. You should have a relevant 2:1 or First Class degree and have excellent written and verbal communications skills. You should (i) have passed the Post Graduate Course in Trade Mark Law at either Queen Mary or Bournemouth University and (ii) currently be on the Nottingham Law School Post Graduate Practice course or planning to sit that course. We may consider application from other candidates who show excellent ability but are at a different stage of their training.

Benefits

A career in Trade Marks at Potter Clarkson offers a varied and interesting role, with a competitive salary and benefits package that increases with qualification and experience.
