Our Patent Career Programme offers you the chance to be involved in innovative, exciting inventions outside of the Lab, whilst studying towards your exams to become a qualified UK and European patent attorney. We have a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to join us as a Trainee Patent Attorney. Our engineering team is an integral part of our wider Tech + Engineering practice group which comprises of over 60 individuals and we advise some very high-profile clients across all fields of technology.

About you

Whether you are a new graduate or are looking for an exciting career change, we are looking for candidates with a solid scientific background, a strong academic record and a graduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. We are recruiting for places on our graduate scheme, where we will support and mentor you in your journey to becoming afully qualifiedpatent attorney and beyond.

Applicants must have a minimum 2:1 in their degree discipline, although candidates with a postgraduate degree and a 2:2 in their undergraduate degree will also be considered.

Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis for a Trainee position to start in October 2023.
