We are seeking a new member to join our team as a trainee or recently qualified patent attorney who can help build on our unique expertise in this field and expand our practice into new areas at the forefront of molecular biology.
The candidate will have at least 18 months’ experience in the patent profession and may already be working towards qualification, if not already qualified.
An ideal candidate will have a background in life sciences, and should have a post-graduate qualification (e.g., preferably a PhD) in a life science, ideally molecular biology, genetics, or cell biology.
Most importantly, the candidate will need to be a confident communicator, happy to engage with our direct client base and have the energy and enthusiasm to help foster new relationships. The ability to converse in an additional language to English could be advantageous but is not essential.
A competitive salary and benefits will be offered. The role will be based primarily in either our Cambridge or London office, depending on preferences; although it will be expected that some time may be spent in both offices. Candidates will of course be supported through the process of qualification to become a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and also a European Patent Attorney if not already qualified.
