J A Kemp is a leading European IP firm, with approximately 220 people based in our offices in London, Oxford, Cambridge and Paris.

We have one of the largest concentrations of biotech patents expertise in Europe and represent clients in all areas of biotechnology including antibodies and other biologics, diagnostics and personalised medicine, plant science, regenerative medicine, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, vaccines and immunology.  Our clients include multinational companies, start-ups and academic institutions based in Europe, the United States and Asia.  Our work is both non-contentious and contentious/opposition work.

Whilst many of J A Kemp’s patent attorneys joined the firm as graduate trainees, our home-grown talent is complemented by a good number of attorneys who have come to us with experience gained in other patent attorney firms, legal practices or industry. We welcome their different perspectives on our business.

Skills and Qualities

We are looking for a qualified or part-qualified patent attorney to join our Biotechnology and Life Sciences team in London, Oxford or Cambridge.  You must be able to produce high quality work, have good written and oral communication skills, enjoy working collaboratively in a team, and be able to organise your workload.
