Our client is actively seeking a diligent and skilled Trade Mark Administrator to join its dynamic Intellectual Property team. As a Trade Mark Administrator, you will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys and clients in managing trade mark portfolios, protecting intellectual property rights, and ensuring compliance with global regulations. Your attention to detail, organisational prowess, and legal acumen will contribute to maintaining the firm’s reputation as a leader in the legal industry

Responsibilities:

  • Offer assistance for both new and ongoing trade mark initiatives, encompassing tasks such as facilitating portfolio integration, coordinating, and overseeing international recordal efforts, and managing renewal projects
  • Thoroughly assess inbound and outbound communications to pinpoint essential data, legal deadlines, forthcoming schedules, and additional docketing specifics – Subsequently, ensure accurate updates to the client’s IP software database
  • Contribute to the process of due diligence and data audits pertaining to trade mark and intellectual property portfolios – This involves reviewing information sourced from national Intellectual Property Offices, local associates, and other commercial databases
  • Compile and submit application forms along with pertinent documentation for the registration of trade marks, designs, renewals, assignments, licenses, modifications of name, and other relevant title particulars

Requirements:

  • Previous Trade Mark Administrator or Trade Mark Paralegal experience gained in a law firm or Attorneys
  • Strong organisational skills
  • CITMA qualification (desirable)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with good attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of WebTMS (IPPO) or another similar trade mark system
  • Good technical document management skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to take complex documents and present simply and concisely
