Key Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to patent attorneys and other professionals within the firm
  • Preparing and managing patent-related documentation, including applications, filings and correspondence with the UKIPO, EPO and WIPO
  • Managing diaries, scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements
  • Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely submission of documents
  • Assisting with client billing, invoice preparation, and other financial tasks
  • Maintaining and updating case management systems with accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patent Secretary, ideally up to 6 years
  • Strong knowledge of patent formalities and procedures
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with case management systems
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
