Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert counsel and support to clients on design patent matters, including patentability, application drafting, and prosecution.
- Conduct thorough searches and clearances to assess the uniqueness and viability of design patent applications.
- Draft, file, and prosecute design patent applications, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and client needs.
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement design patent strategies that align with their business objectives.
- Offer guidance on design protection and intellectual property issues.
- Stay updated on patent laws, regulations, and industry developments.
- Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and clients.
Qualifications:
- Experience ranging from finals standard to 2 years PQE
- Registered to practice as a patent attorney.
- Strong specialization in design work and a comprehensive understanding of design patent law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in working with clients to understand their specific needs.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of design patent matters.
