Our client is currently on the search for a dedicated and accomplished Partner to join their esteemed team and contribute to the growth and advancement of their distinguished Intellectual Property practice. They pride themselves on delivering unparalleled legal solutions, and they are looking for a dynamic individual to bring expertise, leadership, and innovation to their IP team.

As a key member of their leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing and developing their impressive IP practice. The role involves overseeing and driving IP disputes across a range of intellectual property rights and skilfully drafting and negotiating various IP agreements, including assignments, licenses, confidentiality agreements, and research and development agreements. Additionally, collaboration with colleagues in the US will be integral to the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive the growth of the firms IP practice, contributing to their strategic objectives.
  • Manage and resolve complex IP disputes across diverse intellectual property rights.
  • Draft and negotiate a variety of IP agreements, ensuring comprehensive legal protection for clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the USA to provide seamless global services.
  • Play a pivotal role in the development of team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Take responsibility for the career development and success of team members.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Partner in a reputable law firm, specializing in Intellectual Property.
  • Extensive expertise in IP disputes, with a track record of successful resolution.
  • Be able to practice in the courts of England & Wales.
  • Demonstrated skill in drafting and negotiating IP agreements, including assignments, licenses, confidentiality agreements, and research and development agreements.
  • Global perspective and experience collaborating with international teams, particularly with colleagues in the USA.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with a commitment to developing and supporting team members.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and business development skills.
