We are partnered with one of Europe’s leading IP teams which is currently looking to hire an IP Associate for a 12-month FTC. This role will focus on handling disputes in trademarks and copyright, providing an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the firm’s continued success.

The ideal candidate will be 4-5 PQE, however we are willing to consider candidates with less experience. This role comes with a lot of autonomy and the ideal candidate will need to be able to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of disputes in trademarks and copyright, including infringement actions, opposition proceedings, and enforcement matters
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support case strategy and provide advice to clients
  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Providing strategic advice to clients on IP protection and enforcement strategies
  • Collaborating with colleagues and clients to develop and implement effective dispute resolution strategies

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with 4-5 years PQE in intellectual property law
  • Experience handling disputes in trademarks and copyright, gained either in private practice or in-house
  • Strong knowledge of IP law and regulations, with a focus on trademarks and copyright
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
