A prestigious London based client of ours is currently looking for a Hi-Tech Patent Attorney with experience levels ranging from part qualified (with three or more years’ experience at top tier IP firm) to 2 years PQE. Requirements:
- Finals standard to 2 years PQE
- Strong academic performance in technical subjects.

- In-depth understanding of electronics and related technologies.
- Familiarity with telecommunications, software, and computer-related inventions.
- Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and apply them to patent prosecution.
- Strong analytical and research skills to evaluate patentability and novelty.
- Attention to detail in reviewing technical documents and patent applications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with inventors to understand their inventions and gather technical details.
- Preparing patent applications, including drafting specifications and claims.
- Assisting in prosecuting patent applications before relevant patent offices.
- Analysing office actions and preparing responses to address examiner’s objections.
- Conducting legal and technical research to support patent prosecution strategies.
- Interacting with clients to understand their inventions, business goals, and IP needs.
- Collaborating with inventors, senior patent attorneys, and cross-functional teams.
- Assessing risks and potential challenges related to patent applications or enforcement.
