Electronics Patent Attorney – Munich

An established intellectual property practice is looking to recruit a skilled Electronics Patent Attorney to join its expanding team based in Munich. This role offers a great opportunity for a Qualified Attorney with expertise in electronics or electromechanical technologies to contribute significantly within a reputable international firm.

Main Responsibilities:

The role involves a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Managing a portfolio of patent cases independently
  • Preparing and submitting patent applications at both the European and German levels
  • Handling the prosecution of patent applications in Europe and Germany
  • Representing clients in oppositions and appeals proceedings before the European Patent Office
  • Offering comprehensive advice to clients on all matters related to patent and intellectual property law

Your Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Registered German Patent Attorney
  • Registered European Patent Attorney

Experience:

  • Between 1 and 5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Proven technical experience within the electromechanical sector
  • Demonstrated ability to counsel clients on protecting their intellectual property in line with their unique needs and business objectives
  • Experience living, studying, or working in English-speaking environments or outside Germany is preferred

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficient in both German and English; additional languages are advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to foster solid professional relationships internally and externally
  • A proactive team player who embraces responsibility and is ready to contribute actively from the outset
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a diverse, international, multi-lingual team
  • Sound business judgement combined with a diplomatic and thoughtful decision-making style
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, for example, to other company offices or client meetings
