Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on the patentability of biotechnology inventions and providing strategic IP guidance
- Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the field of biotechnology
- Conducting patent searches and analysing technical and legal issues
- Managing and maintaining client patent portfolios
- Representing clients in proceedings before the European Patent Office and other relevant authorities
- Collaborating with other attorneys and technical experts to deliver comprehensive IP solutions
Requirements:
- Qualified or near-qualified Biotechnology Patent Attorney (finals standard to 2 years PQE)
- Strong background in biotechnology, with a degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and provide high-quality service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
