The Role
We are looking to recruit trainee patent attorneys to join our friendly teams in the London and Birmingham offices. The successful candidates will join Forresters’ thriving Technology & Engineering group, and will train in handling all aspects of patents and registered designs. The candidates will assist in protecting inventions across a wide variety of subject areas, including mechanical, electronics, software, and cleantech-related technologies.
On-the-job training will be given by partners and other fully qualified senior attorneys, as well as through external training courses, in order for the candidates to become a fully-qualified UK and European patent attorney.
About you:
We are looking for candidates with:
- A 2:1 degree or above in an engineering discipline is required, but other degrees in related subjects will also be considered.
- You must be capable of working both independently and as part of a team, have organisational skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- You must possess a commitment to quality and attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Start date: Autumn 2022
