Join a highly respected European intellectual property firm known for its collaborative culture, strong client relationships and high-quality, commercially focused advice.
The team works with some of the world’s most innovative and successful businesses, supporting them across the full lifecycle of their brands in a way that is practical, thoughtful and tailored to client needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Trade Mark Lawyer (Trade Mark Attorney or Solicitor) to join a well-established and supportive team, working across both contentious and non-contentious matters alongside partners, associates and specialist support staff. The environment is collegiate and team-focused, with an emphasis on shared expertise and delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes for clients.
The role offers exposure to a broad and well-rounded trade mark practice, covering prosecution, brand advisory and contentious work, with genuine involvement in client matters and day-to-day responsibility for managing workstreams and relationships.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing trade mark portfolios across the full lifecycle, including clearance, filing, prosecution and renewals.
- Advising on brand protection, portfolio strategy and risk management.
- Handling UK IPO, EUIPO and WIPO proceedings, including oppositions and related contentious matters.
- Working closely with the Dispute Resolution team on enforcement matters, including court proceedings where required.
- Providing clear, practical advice on infringement, validity and wider trade mark issues.
- Supporting transactional matters, including assignments, licences and co-existence agreements.
- Acting as a key client contact and building strong, trusted relationships.
- Supervising and supporting junior team members to maintain high-quality output.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and smooth running of the team through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
You will ideally be a qualified Trade Mark Attorney (5+ PQE) or a Solicitor with significant trade mark experience, with a strong understanding of UK and EU trade mark practice. Experience of contentious work and court proceedings is advantageous but not essential.
