Inhouse opportunities don’t come around that often and this one can definitely offer you everything you’ve been holding out for. The role is with a leading name in the design, development and production of supermaterials, looking to add to their specialist IP team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with R&D and internal clients in identifying potential IP
- Advising and developing commercial strategy, ensuring maximum financial and competitive impact
- Drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications
- Handling contentious matters when they arise, including oppositions
- Providing infringement and validity advice, clearance instructions, and FTO analysis
- Coordinating with other internal departments and liaising with outside counsel internationally
- Contributing to business wide strategy and marketing activities, as well as representing the company at events and networking opportunities
You will be a qualified European patent attorney with a background in materials, physics, chemistry or a related discipline. Patent attorneys in other jurisdictions who require sponsorship will be considered, however it is essential you are European qualified. Hybrid working is available, with two days required in the office based in Oxford.
