A British firm is strengthening their presence in Munich by hiring at least one engineering graduate to train and qualify as a patent attorney. The firm has built a fantastic reputation across their multiple offices here in the UK, and is well known for their investment in staff training and client service.
You will be very looked after, working closely with the team based in Munich and gaining experience in the full range of patent attorney duties. These will include IP identification; drafting and prosecution; advising clients; oppositions; and ongoing strategic portfolio management. You will also liaise regularly with the UK offices and outside counsel on handling your clients’ caseload worldwide. There will be the chance to attend local events representing the firm and travel overseas for client visits/networking.
Ideal candidates will have an academic background in engineering – general, mechanical or a related discipline. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your patent career, gaining experience and a different perspective that other trainees may not have access to.
