It’s always a risk moving from a small firm to a larger one, or vice versa. This firm can offer you the best of both worlds. A close-knit team, open door policy, access to a varied work portfolio and opportunity to contribute to BD, marketing, and internal policy; all coupled with an impressive client base, fantastic support structure and achievable/transparent career progression.
They have offices across the UK (and overseas) and need qualified patent attorneys to join their busy Life Sciences practice. The team is one of the largest and most reputable in the UK, with professionals bringing a wealth of experience across a range of disciplines, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, food science, cosmetics, household products, materials, petrochemicals, polymers, electrochemistry, printing technologies, and physical chemistry.
You’ll be responsible for managing the full IP lifecycle:
- IP strategy and commercial advice
- Drafting and prosecution
- Due diligence
- Oppositions and appeal
- Ongoing management and protection
The firm’s IP solicitors and specialist SPC team will enable you to gain exposure to additional elements of the role, from R&D collaboration and clinical trials to licensing and litigation. Ideal candidates will have around two years’ PQE, however there is space to bring on those with more experience.
