About the role
Working in our evolving Swedish office this role works alongside a pan-European team of high-tech patent attorneys. You will work on digital subject matter across the technology spectrum but with particular emphasis on software, artificial intelligence and computing but there will also be opportunities to get involved in telecoms and medical technologies as well.
EIP Digital encompasses a broad technology spectrum including computer hardware, software and machine learning/AI, electronics, wireless and telecommunications, applied physics and optics. Strength in these fields has been at the core of EIP and our continued success since we were founded in 2000.
Renowned for its experience in patent drafting and strategic patent prosecution, and a go-to practice for litigation in high-tech patent cases, EIP’s Digital team has been engaged in many of the highest profile patent litigation cases in the UK and Germany, and oppositions at the EPO, in recent years.
EIP Digital team members are appointed to many high-value matters which require extraordinary levels of expertise, including licensing, technology standards, pre-litigation analysis, and litigation itself, with high rates of success. Many of these members operate at the intersection of various cutting areas such as electronics and health-tech, AI and drug discovery.
Successful candidates will have a background in mathematics, physics, or computer science. Although qualification to PhD level is preferred, we will consider any candidate with a strong first or further degree who demonstrates the required skill and knowledge to handle these technologies.
