We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious trainee patent attorney to join our Life Sciences team in London.  Ideally, candidates will have already gained 1-2 years experience working within the profession within a highly ranked practice.  However, candidates either new to the profession (eg a recent graduate or due to graduate in 2013) or due to complete a postgraduate course in Intellectual Property Law are also encouraged to apply.

All candidates must have an excellent academic track record, with at least a first or upper second class undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Biochemistry/Biotechnology.  Experienced candidates will already possess the Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law (or equivalent), or be nearing completion.

As well as a strong academic record, candidates must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to express themselves in a clear and logical manner, both orally and in writing.

Full training, at the appropriate level, will be given as you work towards qualifying as a UK and European Patent Attorney.  Dehns has a strong emphasis on training to the extent that we are known as probably the leading firm in the UK for training success.

Whilst our preference is to bring someone with existing experience on board as soon as possible, we also welcome applications from exceptional candidates looking to commence employment in the Summer or early Autumn 2013.
