The Person

You are a UK Qualified Trade Mark Attorney/IP Solicitor possessing high quality technical skills and proven practical experience in all aspects of UK, European and International trade mark matters – from trade mark clearance to filing programmes, licensing arrangements, due diligence and third party negotiations.

The ability to provide sound, commercially based advice to high profile clients and to deliver the highest standard of client care is essential, whether assisting lay persons or in-house IP professionals. The successful applicant must be able to manage their time and billing efficiently and be highly-organised.

First-class interpersonal skills are also highly desirable, as is an appetite for professional growth.

The Role

The successful Trade Mark Attorney will form part of a dedicated trade mark group, providing a full range of trade mark services to a variety of UK and overseas-based clients, from individuals to FTSE 100 companies; they will be given early responsibility for a diverse and interesting range of trade mark work and portfolios. Trade Mark sectors include: fashion/clothing, beauty, life-style and FMCG.

Experience of handling cease/desist, clearance, searches and contentious work (including oppositions) will be advantageous, as you’ll be encouraged to manage clients directly and advise on their respective portfolios. There is also existing foreign attorney work available to compliment the wide range of overall cases and projects.
