I am currently completing a BSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Greenwich and will graduate with First Class Honours in July 2026. Throughout my degree, I developed a strong interest in scientific research, critical analysis, and understanding how discoveries made in the laboratory can be translated into real-world applications. This interest ultimately led me to explore intellectual property and patent law as a potential career path.

One of the highlights of my degree was my final-year research project, which investigated the effects of Cordyceps supplementation on exercise performance through a systematic review and meta-analysis. The project required me to analyse large volumes of scientific literature, evaluate the quality of published evidence, and communicate complex findings through both written and oral presentations. The dissertation was awarded 91% and was subsequently recommended by my academic supervisor for development towards publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal. Through this experience, I discovered that I particularly enjoy analysing technical information, identifying key details, and presenting complex concepts in a clear and accessible way.

Alongside my studies, I have gained experience across several different industries. I completed an internship as a Medical Records Officer at Blackheath Hospital, worked in retail with both Zara and GANT, and progressed from Stockroom Assistant to Stockroom Manager during my time at GANT. More recently, I have been working as a freelance Pilates instructor. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication, organisation, leadership, and time-management skills while working with a wide range of people and balancing multiple responsibilities.

As a Thai-British individual, I have grown up between two cultures and have spent significant time in both the United Kingdom and Thailand. In 2020, I lived in Thailand with my family for six months during the COVID-19 pandemic, which gave me a unique perspective on how different countries, communities, and businesses responded to an unprecedented global challenge. Combined with extensive travel throughout my life, these experiences have encouraged me to be adaptable, open-minded, and curious about different ways of thinking.

My interest in intellectual property stems from the opportunity to combine science with innovation, business, and problem-solving. To learn more about the profession, I have completed introductory training through the WIPO Academy, attended CIPA webinars, and participated in intellectual property networking events. I am particularly drawn to the international nature of patent law and the opportunity to work with new technologies and scientific developments while helping innovators protect their ideas. I look forward to continuing to explore the profession and developing my understanding of the role intellectual property plays in supporting innovation.
