Apple has published a statement admitting that Samsung has not infringed its iPad designs.

A result of a High Court ruling in July, the judge in the original case said that Apple must publish the statement on both their website and in national newspapers.

Apple attempted to appeal the decision but judges decided not to overturn the ruling on 18 October.

Apple has lost a series of lawsuits against Samsung brought over the design of their respective tablets. It has lost cases in the Netherlands, Australia and the US.

The electronics company have had one success in the US where Samsung were  ordered to pay a $1.05bn fine for infringing software patents.
